The cold weather had made all the water turn into ice outdoors. We noticed that some things were trapped. How were we ever going to get them out?
Don’t worry the children came up with, and tried out, lots of different strategies. Bashing the ice with a wooden block was most effective!

We read a story called ‘A Brave Bear’ which led to a chat about what real bears can do.
