We are delighted to be working in partnership with The Grand Theatre, Blackpool and The Royal Shakespeare Company as a member of the Associate Schools Programme.

An exciting part of this programme is giving children the opportunity to see Shakespeare performed live. We hope that as many of you as possible will support your children’s learning and give them the opportunity to see the below production;

ROYAL SHAKESPEARE COMPANY VISITS The Grand Theatre, Blackpool WITH THE COMEDY OF ERRORS ON 8th, 9th & 10th Nov.

Tickets can be booked via the theatre box office

A key feature of the First Encounters productions is that they could not take place without the involvement and engagement of the audiences and local community they are visiting.  Young people from Blackpool,Fylde & Wyre will be directly involved in the production, with a team of up to twenty pupils performing an edited version of one of the play’s opening speeches, in which Egeon explains how he became separated from his wife and one of his twin sons.  The school will also be invited to decorate parts of the set ahead of the RSC’s visit to create a sense of their hometown.

Pupils from our school will be performing on Thursday 8th November at 10am and 1.30pm
